Mr. Russell Lee Maser, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, GA.
Mr. Maser was born January 4, 1933 in Chillicothe, Ohio, the son of the late Okey Lee and Elma Marie Detty Maser. He was an excellent high school athlete excelling in basketball for the Chillicothe Cavaliers. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army in the 11th Airborne. He had a successful career in construction engineering and management leading to a successful retirement in the Georgia mountains. His parents and son Stephen Lee Maser and brother, Marcus Maser preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife; of 54 years, Katherine Whaley Maser, sons; Richard Maser (Jayne), and Joe Harber (Lisa) all of Sandy Springs, Ga, brother, Glen Maser (Jeanne) of Louisville, KY, grandchildren, Rachel Maser, Jarrett Harber, JoAnna Harber, great-grandchildren, Raegen Janene Whitley, Evelyn Anne Hodnett, as well as several nieces and nephews.
