Alice Garland Edmondson

January 23, 1926 – January 18, 2019

Mrs. Alice Garland Edmondson, age 92, of Ellijay, died Friday, January 18, 2019.

Mrs. Edmondson was born January 23,1926 in Gilmer County the daughter of the late Will and Ina Stanley Garland. She worked many years with Hampton Mills and Dundee Mills and was a member of the Pisgah Church of Christ. Her parents and husband, Ernest Edmondson preceded her in death.

Survivors include; sons and daughters-in-law: Charles and Carolyn Edmondson, Roger and Shirley Edmondson all of Ellijay, brothers and sister-in-law: Emory “Ham” and Betty Garland, East Ellijay, William Lewis and Mary Garland, Galena Park, TX, 5 grandchildren: Michael Edmondson, Gainesville, Mark, Angie, Cadi Davenport and Cole Edmondson all of Ellijay, 9 great-grandchildren,6 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:30pm from the Ellijay Church of Christ with Minister Bill Thomas and Minister Butch Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Pisgah Church of Christ cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Saturday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Georgia Mountain Hospice or Pisgah Church of Christ cemetery fund in memory of Mrs. Edmondson.The Family Request No Food at the Funeral Home or Church.
