Steven D. Beals

November 03, 1936 – January 15, 2019

Mr. Steven D. Beals age 72, of Athens died Tuesday January 15, 2019.

Mr. Beals was born November 3, 1946 in Independence, Missouri, the son of the late George Eldon and Betty Elaine Berry Beals.  Mr. Beals was a graduate of the University of Georgia and retired from the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Post Office. He also was a member of the First Christian Church of Athens.

Survivors include: wife Jimmie Sluder Beals, children and spouses, Wade and Kenneth Beals, Marietta, Shannon and Louie Perez, Seattle, Washington 3 grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday January 23, 2019 at 2:00pm from the First Christian Church of Athens, 268 W. Dougherty St. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Disable American Veterans Association in memory of Mr. Beals.
