Mrs. Clara Mooney Wheeler age 92, of Ellijay died Thursday March 14, 2019.
Mrs. Wheeler was born October 6, 1926 in Gilmer County, the daughter of the late Elder Tandy and Ollie Weaver Mooney. She worked in poultry processing and was a member of the Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church. Her parents, husband, Earl Wheeler, siblings; Elder Lawrence Mooney, Leonard Mooney, Luther Mooney, Senie Weaver, Rebie Bullock, Lillie Ellis, Opal Easley and Edna Vickers preceded her in death.
Survivors include: sister: Hazel Smith, Chatsworth, and Clara was also a beloved aunt to a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm from the Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Ed Vickers officiating. Elder Kelly Smith will offer graveside prayer. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Saturday from 4 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
