November 29, 1926 – March 7, 2019

Mrs. Venta Lee Parks age 92 of Ellijay, GA died Thursday March 7, 2019.

Mrs. Parks was born November 29, 1926 in Gilmer County to the late Wesley and Mamie Bearden Reece. She was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Survivors include: daughters and sons in-law, Barbara and Edgar Land, Glenda and Edmund Dalrymple, Alene and Gene Wimpey, all of Ellijay; brother, McKinley and Patsy Reece, of Vero Beach, FL; sister, Joyce Anderson, of Williamson, GA; brother in-law, Romie Cox, of Cumming, GA; sisters in-law, Annalene Reece, of Jasper, GA and Charme Reece, of Ellijay; 5 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday March 10th at 2pm from the New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Jones and Rev. Brian Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Ebenezer cemetery fund in memory of Mrs. Parks.

The family will receive friends Saturday March 9th from 3pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
