Iris Wylda Bennett: Obituary

Mrs. Wylda Bennet, age 91 of Ellijay, GA passed on Saturday August 10^th, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Bennet was born on May 14^th, 1928 in Spingdale, Arkansas to her late parents, George W. and Rosa Mae Barker. Wylda was married to Royce Leon Bennett for 38 years and was a long- time friend and companion to Betty Sluder Vautrot for 20 years. She worked on a farm from a yong age picking cotton and other farm labor jobs until meeting and marrying Royce on December 1^st, 1949 at age 20 and raising 3 children in Visalia, CA. After her husband Royce Bennett passed, she was married to Gene Arneson for 20 years.

There are no services planned at this time. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Woodville Cemetery in Woodville, CA.

She is survived by her children and in-laws; Gail and Chuck Vautrot of Ellijay, GA, Cheryl and Don Ledbetter of Sun City, AZ, Gary and JoAnn Bennett of Talore, CA; grandchildren, Ashley and Andrea Sola, Jaron Juarez, Lauren Bishop, John and Lindsay Jones, Allison Cain, Dustin Bennett, and Blake and Bryce Arneson; sisters, Jewell Hanson of Florida and Maxine Cherkus of Montclaire, CA.
