Hazel Shook Dilbeck: Obituary

Mrs. Hazel Shook Dilbeck, age 82, of Ellijay, Ga. died Friday, September 6, 2019.

Mrs. Dilbeck was born March 14, 1937, in Jackson County NC the daughter of the late Daniel “Boone” and Julia Brown Shook. She was retired from the poultry industry, after 30 years, and was a member of the Little Baptist Church.

Her parents, husband, Harold Dilbeck, son: Frankie Dilbeck, grandchild; Amy Dilbeck, brother and sister-in-law: James and Adene Shook, sister and brother-in-law Helen and Earl Galloway, Erma Lee Shook, preceded her in death.

Survivors include: children; Darrell and Tammy Dilbeck, Charles Dilbeck, Larry and Brenda Kirkland., sisters; Geneva Rush, Alma and Wilford Hensley, Velma Stanley, grandchildren; Steven and Kristi Dilbeck, Cody Dilbeck and Kassie Robinson, Brittany Ledford, Clarissa Heieren, Crystal Bramlett, Larry Joe Kirkland, Matthew Kirkland, Amanda Thomas, Jessie Dilbeck and Ritchie Bellafore.  Great Grandchildren; Aspen Dilbeck, Summer Dilbeck, Molly Dilbeck, Maelynn Bentjen, Amora Gourdine, Macie Kirkland, Millie Kirkland, Micah Kirkland, Hadley Thomas, Waylon Thomas, Maddie Perez, Alex Perez, Tyler Kirkland, and Aiden Kirkland.

Funeral service will be held Monday, September 9, at 5:00 pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Kerr officiating.  Interment will be held in the Turniptown Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Sunday, September 8, from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Bernhardt Funeral Home.
