Huey Reed: Obituary

Mr. Huey Reed, age 72, of Ellijay, died Sunday, December 15, 2019.

Mr. Reed was born, March 25, 1947, in Dawson County, the son of the late Isaac and Imogene McClure Reed. He worked as a fence builder and was  a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, son; Tim Reed, and brothers; Tommy and Cleveland Reed.

Survivors include: son, Freddy Reed, Jasper, daughters; Michelle Miller, Beverly Denise Reed both of Ellijay, sisters and brother-in-law: Melba and James Edwards, Dawsonville, Daisy Poole, Ellijay, Mildred Reed, Talking Rock, Betty Sue Reed, Ellijay, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 4:00 pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Edwards and Rev. Randy Cloer officiating.  Interment will be in the Ebenezer Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Thursday from 10: 00 am until the funeral hour at the funeral home.

Bernhardt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
