Heather Renee (Rich) Matteson: Obituary

Mrs. Heather Renee (Rich) Matteson, Age 41, of Jasper, Ga, passed on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Matteson was born on September 19th, 1978 in Dalton, GA to her parents, Michael Anthony and Edna Lynne (Long) Rich. She graduated from Sequoyah High School in 1997 and graduated with a BA from Reinhardt College. Mrs. Matteson was of the Christian faith, a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and the North Georgia Martial Arts Academy, and a Master Cosmetologist. Mrs. Matteson is preceded in death by her grandparents, J.L. Long of Dalton, Ga.,Floyd and Annie Ruth Rich of Dalton, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 14th, 2020 at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kasey Kuyper officiating. Interment will follow in the Rich Family Cemetery on Rich Gap Road in Blairsville, GA, following the service with Michael Rich, Tony Sassman, Amy Sassman, Elbert Matteson, Oscar Young, Matt Kelly and Jack Kisner, all serving as pall bearers. Mrs. Matteson is survived by her husband of 19 years, Adam Daniel Matteson of the home in Jasper, GA, son, Titus Matteson of Jasper, Ga, father and mother, Michael and Edna (Long) Rich, of Dalton, GA, sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Tony Sassman of Jasper, GA, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sue and Oscar Young, of Waleska, GA, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elbert L. and Iulia Matteson, of Jasper, GA, grandmother, Katherine Long, of Dalton, GA, niece Emma Sassman and nephew, Josiah Sassman of Jasper, Ga. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 9:00 PM on Thursday, February 13th, 2020 at the Logan Funeral Home & Chapel.
