Rev. Ernest “Junior” Paul Luttrell: Obituary

Rev. Ernest “Junior” Paul Luttrell, age 88 of Ellijay, GA passed on Monday February 10, 2020 at his residence. Junior was born on February 3, 1932 in Austell, GA to his late parents, Ernest Paul, Sr. and Rosetta (Martin) Luttrell. Rev. Luttrell was an ordained Baptist minister and a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church. He was an honorably discharged veteran serving in the US Air Force. Preceded in death by his daughter, Judith Rosetta Luttrell, sisters, Jane Morris, Louise Burnett and brother, J.T. Luttrell. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday from the North East Piney Grove Baptist Church in Marietta, GA with Rev. Chris Chastain, Rev. Eddie Kerr, Rev. Randy McClure and Rev. Josh Green officiating. Graveside interment will follow in the church cemetery with his grandchildren serving as pallbearers. Rev. Luttrell is survived by his wife, Virginia Louise (Booth) Luttrell of Ellijay, GA, daughters and son-in-law, Diane & Don Flowers of Doraville, GA, Susan Paulette Luttrell of Hapeville, GA, sons and daughter-in-law, Ernest Leon Luttrell and Linda Puzey of Lenoir City, TN, Alton Luttrell of Ellijay, GA, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, sister-and brother-in-law, Jewell & Mike Meigle of Blairsville, GA, brother and sister-in-law, Franklin & Diane Luttrell of Powder Springs, GA. The family is receiving friends from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday, February 12th, 2020 at the Logan Funeral Home and again on Thursday February 13th, 2020 from 12 noon until the service at 2:00pm at the NE Piney Grove Baptist Church in Marietta.
