It was the Will Kiker/Brock Titus show for the Bobcats on Friday night as Gilmer beat Murray County 36-0. Will Kiker dominated on both sides of the ball as he led the team in tackles while also totaling three rushing touchdowns. Gilmer’s defense was incredible in this one as the Bobcats now sit at 3-0 on the season. North Murray struggled on offense as they were held to just 6 yards of offense, according to Maxpreps.
Team Notes
Aside from Kiker, Brock Titus and Hunter Watkins also had big games as Titus ran for 77 yards and 2 TDs on 13 attempts while Watkins added 89 yards on 3 rushing attempts and brought in QB Isaac Rellinger’s only pass for 22 yards. Rellinger however struggled with ball security in this one as he fumbled the ball away three times.
Despite forcing 4 fumbles, the Indians were unable to find any momentum on offense and failed to put up any points. Neither Maxpreps nor Hudl had individual stats posted for Murray County.
Look Ahead
Gilmer will travel to Ringgold to take on the Tigers who have yet to pick up a win on the season and carry a -27-point differential on the season. As for Murray County they will hope to get the offense figured out over the Bye Week before they host the 0-2, Chattanooga Indians.
