Gilmer County shows support for Hurricane Helene victims

GILMER COUNTY, Ga. – As a result of the destruction that Hurricane Helene caused, many local residents have offered donations to be sent to areas of need.

Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office announced that they were able to fill “two 53-foot tractor trailers, fully loaded with relief items, are set to depart for Dublin, Georgia, and Baxley, Georgia, early tomorrow morning! HUGE thank you to Rabbit Logistics for donating their trailers and time to help transport these supplies.”

They stated that the “the outpouring of generosity from Gilmer County has been astounding.”
