Meet April, a sweet, resilient girl who is looking for a fresh start.

April recently lost the person she loved the most.  When her owner passed away, a plan was made for her future but unfortunately, that arrangement fell through, leaving April back at the shelter through no fault of her own.

We believe that April was born around 2019 and is a Chi/JRT/Bobtail mix with a big personality packed into a small body.  She is currently carrying extra pounds but don’t let that fool you, she loves getting out for long walks and loves any opportunity to splash around in the water.  She is equally happy spending a quiet afternoon curled up on the couch with her favorite person.

Homeward Bound Pet Rescue is located in Blue Ridge, Gilmer Co., Georgia. We are a volunteer run organization that was established in 2000 and have successfully found forever homes for thousands of unwanted cats and dogs..  We meet by appointment only.  Our pets are up to date on vaccinations, monthly preventatives, spayed and neutered (unless otherwise disclosed due to illness or age).   All available pet bios on our website.
