Mr. Jimmy “Jim” Wesley Witherow age 74 of Ellijay died Monday February 28, 2011.

Mr. Witherow was born on April 18, 1936 in Gilmer Co. He is the son of the late Johnny Wesley Withrow and Lina Todd Witherow. He was a member of the Mountaintown Baptist Church, a Mason, and a Shriner.

Survivors include: Wife: Vert Davis Witherow of the home; Children: Matt and Donna Witherow, Blairsville, Ernie Forrester, Snellville, Billy Forrester, Dallas, GA, Beth and Randy Milam, Tyrone, GA, Deborah and Byron Starnes, Marshville, NC; 13 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren; Brothers and sisters-in-law: Bill and Jeane Witherow, Conyers, Twain and Marsh Heaton, Nelson, Ez Bikkerstaff, Hampton, GA, Ruth and Wade Floyd, Hampton, GA, Christine Wright, Ellijay, Esta Allen, MI, Bill and Catherine Davis, Ellijay; Special Friends: Ben and Amy Charles; Several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held Friday March 4, 2011 at 2pm from the Mountaintown Baptist Church with Rev. Edmund Miller officiating. Interment will be held in the Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Thursday, March 3 from 1pm until 3pm and 6pm until 8pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
