Mrs. Mervette Farid Ward age 69 of Ellijay died Sunday August 14, 2011.

Mrs. Ward was born on November 26, 1941 in Cairo Egypt. She is the daughter of the late Salah Farid and Lulu Fahmy Farid. She was a social worker for Northwest GA Community Action Agency and was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Ellijay.

Survivors include: Sons: Eric of Dalton, John of Orlando, FL & David of Rome, GA; 7 Grandchildren; Sister: Randa Mixon, Rome, GA

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday August 17, 2011 at 11am from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Fields officiating.

Interment will be in the Yukon Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday Aug. 16th from 6pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
