At the City Council meeting on February 20th, the council reappointed Mike Bailey, Harold Callahan, Bill Miller, and Connie Davis to the Ellijay Planning and Zoning Commission. While reviewing the business, Mayor Hoyle said these four members had attended a training session last week for planning and zoning and were willing to serve on the commission again. Letch Watkins is the only other member that has been serving on the commission that was not reappointed. Hoyle said Watkins has been ill and has not been able to be reached to see if he is willing to serve on the commission again.

The Ellijay Planning & Zoning Commission meets on the second Wednesday each month in the Ellijay City Hall Courtroom. Meetings are open to the public and begin at 6:00 pm. Mike Bailey is the current chairman.
