Commissioner Will Beattie announced at the regular BOC meeting that he does not plan to seek another term as a Commissioner of Gilmer County.Mr. Beattie has released the following statement:

Dear family and friends, I made a public announcement tonight at our regular board meeting. I will not be seeking another term as a Commissioner of Gilmer County. I have enjoyed greatly the time I have spent in this office of service. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for all of those that not only voted for me, but those whose respect I was able to earn over the last four years. I would also like to thank my family and ETC for allowing me the time and for supporting my venture into service. Without their support it would not have been possible. I wish all of the announcing candidates good luck and God bless everyone.
