Emergency Crews from Gilmer worked hard through the night to clear trees from the County’s roadways caused by a severe thunderstorm. The storm occured late last night with at least 50 trees being reported to be down across roadways by Gilmer Emergency Management Director Tony Pritchett.

Damage was also reported at the marina at Carter’s lake including damages to boats; but as of this morning Emergency Crews had already responded to the area.
