Mr. Vernon Reed age 84 of Ellijay died Tuesday September 25, 2012.

Mr. Reed was born on August 12, 1928 in Gilmer Co. He is the son of the late Charlie Reed and Minda Carter Reed. He was a farmer and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: Brother: Clifford Reed, Covington; Sister: Bonnell Lambert, Ellijay; Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services will be held Friday September 28, 2012 at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Edmund Miller officiating.

The family will meet with friends from 1 pm until 2 pm Friday at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be held in the Yukon Cemetery.
