Bryan Dorsey Speaks at Rotary Club Meeting
Community May 10, 2013
At our May 6th meeting, Bryan Dorsey, who has been our Superintendent of our school system for over two years, enlightened our members about the many regulations with which our school system is burdened. The worst of these is Common Core which are stringent federal regulations. At this time our Congressional leaders are attempting to opt out of this program with Senate Bill 167.
The Superintendent also stated that our school system has applied to become a Charter School System. Hopefully, this will bring some relief to the great number of regulations that our system is subject to. Mr. Dorsey was a very enthusiastic and well informed speaker.
