Mr. John R. Barton age 81 of John Call Rd. Talking Rock, Ga died Tuesday August 27,2013.Mr. Barton was born February 26,1932 in Hartwell, GA He was a US Air Force Veteran and retired from Atlanta Gas Light Company.

Survivors include: Wife: Toretha Barton, of the home, children: Rex Barton, Al, Shane and Shawn Parks both of Ellijay, Cathy Ogle, Al, Penny and Bryan Tuck, Ellijay, 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, brother: George Barton, Kennesaw, sisters: Janet Rice, Royston, Elizabeth York, Houchton GA, Margaret Cirot, TX, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt funeral Home with Rev. Scott Watkins and Bro. Caleb Parks officiating. Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Thursday from 4 until 9pm at the funeral home.
