Mr. Charles Wesley Thurman, age 68 of the Flat Branch Community, Ellijay, GA passed Thursday evening, November 28th, 2013.He was born July 22nd, 1945 to his late parents John Wesley and Willie Mae Allen Thurman in Ellijay, GA. Charles retired from Shaw Industries of Chatsworth after 18 years of employment.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, December 1st, 2013 from the chapel of Logan Funeral Home with Minister Butch Jones officiating. Music and vocals will be by Rev. Irene Wofford and Lee Sutton. Interment will follow in the Flat Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Patrick Thurman, Jody Rogers, Jake Bryant, Paul Milton, Herbert Wright, Stacy Rogers, Derek Rogers, and Jimmy Dale.

Survivors include wife of 48 years, Brenda Sue Dale Thurman of the home in Ellijay, GA; Daughter and son-in-law, Alisa and Jeff Bryant of Mineral Bluff, GA; Son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Trish Thurman of Ellijay; Grandchild and in-law, Patrick Thurman and Serina Carlile of Ellijay, GA; Grandchildren, Jake Bryant and Hannah Bryant, both of Mineral Bluff, GA; Great grandchild, Brylee Cole of Ellijay; Sisters and brothers-in-law: Jeanette and Robert Key, Kathy and Ricky Patterson, Sarah and Dale Kaylor, all of Blue Ridge, GA, and Virginia and Dale Cochran of Ellijay, GA; Brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Willie Mae Thurman, Bill and Deb Thurman, and Alan and Brenda Thurman, all of Ellijay, GA; Special friend, Paul Dickie Milton of Decatur, GA also survives.

Family will receive friends from 4pm until 9pm Saturday, November 30th, 2013 at the Logan Funeral Home.
