James Lawrence Ledford, 82 of Jasper, Georgia formerly of Blue Ridge, Georgia passed on Saturday morning April 26, 2014, at Wildwood Health Care in Jasper, Georgia.Mr. Ledford was born on March 21, 1932 in Cherrylog, Georgia, son of the late James Alford Ledford and Lovenia Gertrude Boatner Ledford. He served honorably in the United States Army during Korea and retired from the Dart Container Company after 24 years of service as a truck driver. James is preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Rogers, and brothers Herschel and Grady Ledford.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Crystal & Donnie Hefner of Jasper, GA; grandson, Tyler Gleason of Jasper, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Jane Ledford of Blue Ridge, GA and Gerald and Shirley Ledford of Cherry Log, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 1st, 2014 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Kenneth Roland Nelson officiating. Graveside military rites will immediately follow in the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with military rites performed by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment will follow in the Boardtown Church of Christ Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, April 30th, 2014, at the Logan Funeral Home.
