Mr. Richard M. Amann , JR, age 71, of Westwood DR, Ellijay died Wednesday June 18,2014.Mr. Amann was born May 22, 1943 in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Richard Amann, SR and Ilse Margot Weirich Amann. He was a US Navy veteran and last worked for the Gilmer County Board of Education as a bus driver.

Survivors include: Wife; Paula Goggin Amann, son Richard Amann, III, Acworth, daughters: Phoebe Cook and Sayward Carter both of Ellijay, 4 grandchildren also survive.

Crypt side services will be held Tuesday June 24, 2014 at 1:30pm at Georgia National Cemetery with Pastor Robert Fancher officiating. Military rites by the U.S. Navy.
