Dorothy Thomas Boston Passed away on November 7, 2014. Dorothy was born August 9, 1924 in Fannin County, Georgia, to Josh and Willa Thomas, and moved to Gilmer County with the family when she was 11. After graduating from Gilmer High School, she moved to Atlanta to work for the Coca Cola Bottling Company. She met and married her soul mate in Atlanta, spent many years in Maryland where she worked as a Bookkeeper/Secretary in the medical profession before retiring and moving to South Florida. They found their way back home to Gilmer County in November, 2013.

Dottie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Lionel Boston, son Gary Boston of Ellijay, GA, and son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Linda Boston of Silver Spring, MD. She also leaves behind brothers and sisters, Jack and Margaret Thomas of Spring Hill, FL, Betty Anderson of Blue Ridge, Bob Thomas of Ellijay, Eddie and Louise Thomas of Ellijay, Sherry and Reece Mathis of Blue Ridge, and Carole and Richard Lacy of Blue Ridge. Dottie is preceded in death by sisters, Ruth, JoAnn and Linda, and brothers, Bill and Harold.

Bernhardt Funeral Home handled arrangements and a quiet family memorial will be held in her honor.
