A Thanksgiving Prayer Walk is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, from 10:30 AM until about noon at the Gilmer County Courthouse, 1 Broad Street, Ellijay. The purpose of the prayer walk is to give thanks to God for the abundance we have, and for the businesses and government we have. In spite of the economic and social problems we are experiencing, the United States of America remains the greatest nation the world has ever known and we should be continually thankful.
In addition to the walk, several prayer-leaders will bless businesses and government organizations for success, prosperity. The Thanksgiving Prayer Walk will begin at the Gilmer County Courthouse with music, prayer of thanks and brief message. Participants will proceed on a three-quarter mile route through downtown with periodic stops for prayers at specific locations and return to the Gilmer County Courthouse.

The Thanksgiving Prayer Walk is sponsored by Church of Awake the Call, 2218 Hwy 52E, Ellijay, Shon Thomas, pastor.
