Gilmer County, GA – Today the Blood Assurance Center is hosting a Blood Drive in Ellijay, Georgia. A local center, Blood Assurance supplies 51 local counties within Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, and Virginia. This includes our local North Georgia Medical Center.With a noble mission to supply blood to these local states, the Blood Assurance Center desperately needs help and donations. The drive will go from 11am to 4pm today. However, don’t worry if you cannot make it today, the American Red Cross will be hosting a drive for national support on Thursday May 14th from 12pm to 6pm.

With two opportunities to give, I hope to see all my loyal readers, viewers, and friends at these drives to help save lives in our hospitals.

Blood Assurance will be operating at the North Georgia Medical Center across from the park in Ellijay.

The Red Cross will operate at the Lions Club building at the fairgrounds across from
Gilmer Middle School in Ellijay.

According to Blood Assurance, donors of all blood types are needed, especially those of A+, A-, B-, and O-, with O- being almost empty of supply.
