Woodring Places in Top 20 in Southern Zone Championship

Payton Woodring turned in an impressive showing at the 2016 Eastern Section Southern Zone Championship meet, which was held at Georgia Tech in Atlanta March 10-13.

Woodring competed against 11 and 12-year-olds from North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Georgia, Kentucky and Mississippi (all of which comprised 63 different teams) at the meet, placing in three of the eight events she competed in.

Woodring placed 10th in the 200-yard butterfly event, 12th in the 200-yard backstroke and 19th in the 100-yard backstroke.
