Mrs. Effie Ray Pressley, age 93, of Ellijay, died Saturday June 11, 2016.

Mrs. Pressley was born December 19, 1922 in Frisco City, Al. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Her husband Virgil Pressley and several siblings preceded her in death.

Survivors include: children; Carol P. Gibson, Lilburn, Chris Pressley, Ellijay, Linda D. Pressley, Harrisburg, PA., grandchildren, Scott Pressley, Heather L. Pressley, Jack E. Gibson, Jr., James Evan Gibson, Erin Pressley and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday June 16, 2016 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Pastor Darien Cochran officiating. Music will be by Pat Blackmond, Donna Cochran and Teresa Chastain.

Interment will be in the Flat Creek Baptist church cemetery. The family will meet with friends Thursday from 11:00am until the service hour at the funeral home.
