Mr. Robert S.”Bob” Matthews, age 71, of Talking Rock died Sunday September 4, 2016.

Mr. Matthews was born March 1, 1945 in East Hartford, CT, the son of the late Leo L. and Ann Shapleigh Matthews. He worked in the finance industry and was a member of the Cherry Log Christian Church.

Survivors include: wife;, Emily Matthews, daughters; Cynthia Wolverton, Cheryl Ani both of Crofton, MD, Janice Sellis, Chicago, IL., 5 grandchildren, brother; Thomas Matthews, Hebron, CT.

Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11:00am from the Cherry Log Christian Church. A private interment service will be at Yukon cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Friday September 9, 2016 from 5pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Cherry Log Christian Church Celebration Fund at 1149 Cherry Log St. Cherry Log, GA 30522 in memory of Bob.
