Mr. Dennis D. Teems, Sr, age 65, of Ellijay, died Saturday, November 11, 2016.

Mr. Teems was born December 3, 1950 in Michigan the son of the late Arnold and Peggy Hulsey Teems. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School, Pickens Tech, served in the U.S, Army and was a member of the Oak Bowery Lodge#81 F&AM. At the time of his death, he was working for Scott Sain Construction in McKenzie, ND. His parents and a brother Randy Teems, preceded him in death.

Survivors include: wife: Louise Harper Teems, sons: Dennis Teems, Jr and Jason Burnett both of Ellijay, daughter; Stephanie Bowyer, Ellijay, grandchildren; Marissa Bowyer, Cole Bennett, Hunter Bowyer, Payton Teems, Austie Burnett. Brother; Ronnie Teems and sister; Debbie Brumlow, Powder Springs.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Grizzle officiating. Masonic rites will be by the Oak Bowery Lodge#81 F&AM.

The family will meet with friends Thursday from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.
