Mrs. Edna Davis Henson, age 83, of Ellijay, died Saturday November 25, 2017.

Mrs. Henson was born May 8, 1934, in Cherokee, NC the daughter of the late John and Julia Allen Davis. She worked in the textile industry and was a member of the Turniptown Baptist Church. Her parents, husband; George Edward Henson, son and daughter-in-law; Larry and Virginia Henson, brothers and sisters-in-law: Walter and Edith Davis, Grady and Violet Davis, Clyde and Nellie Davis, sisters and brothers-in-law: Loretta and Charlie Ware, Ann and James Ray, Myrtle and Paul Adams, Bessie and Charles Lovingood preceded her in death.

Survivors include: children and spouses; Steve and Juanita Henson, Sharon and Rev. Ricky Brown, Martha and Billy Best, Alex and Karen Henson all of Ellijay, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00pm from the Turniptown Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Jones, Rev. Michael Smith, Rev. Ricky Brown and Brother Chris Henson officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Monday from 3:00pm to 9:00pm at the funeral home.
