    The Gilmer High School Bobcats wrestling team traveled to Riverwood International Charter School in Sandy Springs to take part in the AAA West Sectional tournament. The Sectional tournaments decide the participants and seeding of the participants for the State Traditional Tournaments. The Bobcats will take nine wrestlers to the state tournament.

    The 8th Grade Clear Creek Girl’s Middle School Basketball team defeated the 8th Grade Dawson County Girl’s Middle School basketball team 23-22 to win the Mountain Region Tournament on Saturday, February 4th. Gilmer, Pickens, Jasper, Fannin, Dawson, and Riverview were the six schools that participated in the tournament.
