Mrs. Marilyn Joan Nelson age 77 of Ellijay died Sunday November 25, 2012.

Mrs. Nelson was born on January 17, 1935 in Center, AL. She is the daughter of the late Richard and Bessie Nelson. She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband Daniel William Nelson, Sr.

Survivors include children & spouse: Bobby and C’dell Nelson, Morganton, GA, Danny Nelson, Ellijay, Micki Nelson, Ellijay, Robbie Nelson, Hawaii; sisters: Jean Bowen, Cartersville, GA, Betty Spiers, New Zealand; special cousins: Eddie Ayala & Lori & Dawn Murphy all of Ellijay; 1 grandchild, Talon Nelson, Morganton, GA; 1 great grandchild, Melissa Nelson, Ellijay.

No services are planned at this time.
