Mr. Carl Walter Henson age 99 of Mountaintown Rd. Ellijay died Tuesday August 6, 2013.Mr. Henson was born Oct. 8,1913 in Murray County the son of the late Hix and Effie Hill Henson. He was retired from the Ga. DOT, was a farmer and a member of the Mountaintown Baptist Church. He served in WWII in the US Army were he was awarded a Bronze Star. His wife Bertha Mooney Henson precedes him in death.

Survivors, Son and Daughter in-law: Walter & Linda Henson, Ellijay, Daughters: Marinell and Wanda Henson, both of Ellijay, Brother and Sister in-law:, Wiley Hix & Faye Henson, Lexington, KY , 8 Grandchildren , 4 Great Grandchildren ,several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday August 8, 2013 at 11:00am from the Mountaintown Baptist Church with Rev. George Barnett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with graveside rites by the North Georgia Honor Guard.

The family will meet with friends Wed from 4 until 9pm at the funeral home.
