Mrs. Velma Parks Nealey age 78 of Parks Drive Ellijay, GA died Monday November 11, 2013.Mrs. Nealey was born October 1, 1935 in Gilmer County to the late Charlie and Catherine Henson Parks. She was a member of the Clear Creek Baptist Church. She retired from Blue Ridge Carpet and later worked for Bernhardt Funeral Home as a Hostess and for the Gilmer County Courts as a bailiff. Mrs. Nealey is preceded in death by parents, brothers, Reed, Herbert, Olen and Bill Parks, sisters, Virginia Pointer, Vera Nealey and Verdie Parks.

Survivors Include: Sons and Daughter in-law Wade and Darlene Nealey, Cripple Creak, CO, Dave Nealey, Kilgore, TX; Grandchildren Brian Nealey, Ellijay, Thomas Nealey, Marietta, Ashley Nealey, Ellijay; Great Grandchild Addie Nealey, Ellijay; Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday November 13th at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Burt and Rev. Larry Stover officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday November 12th from 5pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
