Tom Vance Buffington, Sr. age 88, of Ellijay, GA, passed from this life Saturday, December 1st, 2012 from Wellstar Tranquility Hospice in Marietta, GA. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 4th, 2012 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve Fields officiating. A military graveside service will follow in the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with military rites by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment service will be in the East Ellijay Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Buffington is survived by daughter, Valerie Emma Buffington of Marietta, GA, son, Tom Vance Buffington, Jr. of Ellijay, GA, grandchildren; Jessica Renee’ Clifford, Rachel Millwood, Ricky S. Millwood, Sabrina Lee, Caleb Vance Buffington and Emma Joy Buffington, great grandchildren; Rayona Sims,and Marquez Sims, Jr. Nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews also survive.

Family will receive friends from 4 until 9 p.m. Monday, December 5th, 2012 at the Logan Funeral Home and Chapel.
