Ellijay Independence Day Celebration Postponed

Announcements

The Independence day celebration that was originally scheduled for Thursday July 4th, 2013, from 3-10 p.m. has been re-scheduled for Saturday, July 6th due to the impending inclement weather.

Although the date for all of the festivities has now changed from Thursday to Saturday, the plans remain the same for the events to occur in Downtown Ellijay at River Street, Main Street, and on the square, with the parade still set to start at 6:00 p.m. Fireworks are tentative at this point in time due to some uncertainties with the current fireworks provider, but if the fireworks are not shot off on Saturday night they will be the following night instead.
