Halloween “Trick or Treating” Held on the Square

Community, Featured Stories

Halloween “Trick or Treating” was held on the square in downtown Ellijay. There was plenty of activity and loads of treats handed out. It was a fun time for all participants, no matter what their ages. FYN saw plenty of princesses, witches, Mario Brothers, ninjas, super heros, all kinds of characters both funny and some very scary! Some people in Gilmer county had great ideas and used their imagination for their Halloween costumes. VCA Appalachian Animal Hospital handled the pet costume contest and awarded prizes for Most Festive, Most Enchanting, Spookiest, Most Like Owner, Most Unusual Costume, and Best in Show.

Pet Contest winners: Most Festive Costume – Nanci DuBarton with Samson and Mindi (the bee keeper and bees) Spookies Costune – Lynn Brocker with Miss Jessa – (the Devil) Most Unusual Costume – Cheyenne Adams with Chocolate Chip (the peacock’s – Mini Horse) Most Enchanted – Cathie Kindler with Heat Wave – (Lahma – Dressed like a butterfly) Looks Most like owner – Kayla Morris with Cheif – (Dressed like Cheeta’s).
