A Messge From Superintendent Kouns Regarding Closing
Featured Stories January 28, 2014 , by Wendy KlimbalIn an effort to be proactive and communicate with the community, Superintendent Jason Kouns issued the following statement by email, Tuesday January 28th, 2014;
“I’m sure lots of questions will arise regarding the decision to close school today, but the simple rationale is the number of children I have riding buses and the “Possibility” of Ice on roadways later this afternoon/evening.
With very few weather reports issuing the same forecast, I simply did not want to chance putting our students/employees at risk.
The benefit of hope was not as great as the guarantee of safety.
Both Mr. Hofstetter and I have been speaking with EMA since about 3 this AM, and each of us is/will be, at Central for a while.
Please let us know if you have questions/concerns”.
