American Legion Auxiliary Post 82 Hosts “Elvis” at Gilmer Nursing Home

Community, Featured Stories

The American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post 82 brought Elvis back to life at the Gilmer Nursing Home last night. The smiles and nostalgic look on the faces of the residents was a sight to behold! From ages eight to 100, everyone attending this event appeared to be having a great time. There was laughing and dancing along with quite a few toes tapping as this Elvis impersonator belted out songs and moved the moves in an extremely similar fashion as Elvis himself did years ago.

Pizza, snacks, deserts, and punch was a treat and the Women’s Auxillary did an excellent job in showing young and old a great time. FYN gives a true “hat’s off” to all the people who made this event possible but especially for making this a special night for all who atttended. See slideshow and short video below. A picture is worth a 1000 words!
