Mrs. Ovaline Ledford Smith age 93 of Talking Rock, GA died Saturday January 3, 2015. Mrs. Smith was born December 21, 1921 in Copperhill, TN to the late David Decatur and Montree Coffey McArthur. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wilson Ledford and Guy Smith, daughter, Ester McClure, son, Clifford Ledford.

Survivors include: sons and daughters in-law, Steve and Lisa Ledford, Talking Rock, Rois and Martha Ledford, Talking Rock, and Kenneth and Shirley Ledford, Ellijay; daughters and son in-law, Rosa Nell and Bobby Aaron, Fairview, NC, Charlotte Meeks, Ellijay, and Carrie Waddell, Ellijay, GA; brothers, Jack and Fairiest McArthur, both of Talking Rock, GA; sister, Adele Roper, Marble Hill; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Monday January 5th at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Allen and Rev. Jerry Banks officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday January 4th from 1pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
