Mr. Major Charles Dupree, age 57, of Pleasant Hill Rd., Ellijay, died Friday January 9, 2015. Mr. Dupree was born April 11, 1957 to the late Major and Lela Hicks Dupree. He worked in the textile industry and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.He is preceded in death by parents and sister Renee Dupree.

Survivors include: brothers: David Dupree, Dalton, and Johnny Dupree, Chatsworth, sisters: Teresa McCann, Ellijay and Hilda Shoemaker, Chatsworth. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 3:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Norman Gibbs officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Sunday from 4 until 9pm at the funeral home.
