Mr. Weldon Dee Long age 81 of Ellijay, GA died Monday May 6, 2015.
Mr. Long was born January 4, 1934 in Fannin County, son of the late Peter and Ethel Tullis Long. He worked for Gilmer County Road Department as a diesel mechanic, was a volunteer fire fighter, operated Long’s Store on Big Creek Road and was a member of the East New Hope Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Rose Long.

Survivors Include: wife, Shirley Long, of the home; son, Christopher Weldon Long, of Ellijay, GA; daughter, Karen Long, of Ellijay, GA; brothers, Roy Long, of Ellijay, GA, Grady Long, of Michigan and Ed Long, of Maryville, TN; sisters, Annie Hoose, of Michigan and Mary Lee Mullinax, of Ellijay, GA; 4 grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday May 7th at 4pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Cantrell and Mickey Moskovitz officiating. Music will be by Regina Morgan and Debbie Fountain. Pallbearers will be Larry Mullinax, Anthony Mullinax, Mickey Moskovitz, Gary Holloway, Joseph Johnson and Lucas Johnson. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday May 6th from 2pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
