Dr. Gary Pritchett, age 72, of Grover Beach, CA, formerly of Ellijay, died Monday, June 1, 2015. Dr. Pritchett was born October 5, 1942 to the late Lee and Audrey McAbee Pritchett. He was a member of the Seventh-Day-Adventist Church studied at Southern College in Tennessee, and later was accepted in the School of Dentistry of Loma Linda University in California.

He enjoyed sports, like cycling, hiking, jogging and was a licensed pilot. He traveled across the USA using his skills, and did dental missionary work to the poor people in Mexico, the Philippines, China and Peru.

Survivors include his wife: Hilda, children, Sheree and Greg and 6 precious grandchildren, along with brothers, Tim Pritchett, Ellijay, Larry Pritchett, Dawson, GA, sisters, Nanci Craig, Charleston, SC, Emily Burrell, and Polly Pritchett both of Ellijay.

Funeral services will be held Friday June 12 at 4:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Friday June 12 from 1:00pm until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
