Mrs. Dorothy Dean Bearden Southern age 78 of Forest Park, GA passed Thursday June 11, 2015. Mrs. Southern was born January 14, 1937 in Dawsonville, GA daughter of the late, Crawford and Ola Bell Bearden. She was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church. She was a Gilmer High School Graduate Class of 1955. Mrs. Southern is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry William Southern; sister, Juniata Sumner; sister and brother in-law, Lillie and John Hall.

Survivors Include: sons and daughter in-law, Reggie Southern, of Jasper, GA, Brian and Cynthia Southern, of Stockbridge, GA; daughters and son in-law, Vickie and Carlos ChaCha, of Jasper, GA, Tammy Southern, of Jasper, GA; sisters and brothers in-law, Oleda Dishroom, of Dawsonville, GA, Thelma and Junior Chester, of Dawsonville, GA, Betty and James Anderson, of Andalusia, AL, Jim Sumner, of Ellijay, GA; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday June 13th at 4pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday June 12th from 5pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
