William E. Gissendaner passed away June 18, 2015.He was born in Albany, GA in 1936. He graduated from North Georgia College where he was a distinguished military graduate and after graduation was commissioned into the U.S. Army where he went to flight school and flew the Caribou. He was the owner of Specialty Wood Finishes of Gwinnett until his retirement in 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Mary Love Gissendaner, his beloved granddaughter Austin Huseby.

His is survived by his wife Betty of 26 years, sister; Kay Roll, Brother; Doug Gissendaner, (Sue) daughter; Kecia Rockoff, son Scott Gissendanner, 5 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at Bernhardt Funeral home in Ellijay, GA on June 23, 2015. Visitation from 12 until 2 and funeral begins at 2.

Interment will be private Wednesday at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
