Gilmer County Republican Party Announcement

The Gilmer County Republican Party is meeting Saturday, March 12 at Gilmer County Courthouse to decide new rules, new (or retain old) officers and resolutions for the Gilmer County Republican Party.
All Republicans are invited, indeed encouraged, to attend this nominating convention and get involved, for a short at least, in party politics.
(1) Registration begins at 8:00 am. Here your official status as registered Republican voters, and your precinct, will be determined for voting purposes.
(2) Registration ends at 9:00 am and anyone appearing thereafter will not have a vote (Georgia State Rules). They can attend as guests only. Gilmer County Sheriff, Stacy Nicholson will be the Sgt at Arms to ensure no cheating. At 9:00 am he will form the end of the registration line. There can be no exceptions. We’ll have coffee there to calm any jitters or appease the late comers.
(3) Republicans, from their Precincts, will meet in precinct caucus before 10:00 am to select voting delegates, etc. (there is a mathematical formula for this)
(4) The County Convention starts promptly at 10:00 am.
(5) Any Republican wishing to submit resolutions for consideration can submit them to the Resolutions Committee chairman at that time, or earlier to any GOP Executive Board Officer. (look at our website for details: wwwgilmergagop.org)

Your Gilmer County GOP Executive Board is attempting to make this necessary meeting as correct, proper and quick as possible by proper planning, good execution and prior knowledge of required information.

If any Republican wishes to stand for any of the executive boards office, kindly submit your name,on the 12th, to the Nominations Committee Chair, at that time.
Nominations can also be made from the floor.
