Gaines Boyd Hobson : Obituary

Mr. Gaines Boyd Hobson age 85 of Old Flat Creek Rd. Ellijay died Sunday February 20, 2011.Mr. Hobson was born on December 23, 1925 in Morristown, TN. He is the son of the late Walter S. Hobson and Winnie Davis Hobson. He was retired from the USDA and was a member of the IBEW since 1952. Mr. Hobson was also a US Navy Veteran serving during WWII and was of the Methodist Faith.

Survivors include: Wife: Susie Watkins Hobson of the home; Sons & daughters-in-law: Joseph & Beverly James, Shaun & Diane Hobson, all of Ellijay; 9 Grandchildren Jeffery Shaun Hobson II, Peyton Michelle Hobson, Krystal Frachiser, Christopher James, Cody James, Leslie Sanford, Justin Bramlett, Jeremiah Bramlett & Victor Tucker; 7 Great grandchildren

Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 23, 2011 at 11am from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Waddell & Rev. Wallace Parks officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the North GA Honor Guard following the Chapel Service. Interment will be held in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Knoxville, TN.

Visitation will be held Tuesday February 22nd from 5pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
