Mr. Cloys William Davenport age 90 of Athens, TN formerly of Ellijay, GA died Sunday February 27, 2011.Mr. Davenport was born on May 14, 1920 in Fannin County. He is the son of the late Joe Marcus Lee Davenport and Lillie Davis Davenport. He was a factory worker and a US Army Purple Heart Veteran having served during WWII. He was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by a grandson Brian Davenport.

Survivors include: Wife: Maxine Davenport of the home; Daughters: Wanda Willis, Athens, TN, Linda Ballew, Cleveland, TN, Sons: William Davenport, Athens, TN, David Davenport, Sweetwater, TN; 6 Grandchildren; 6 Great grandchildren; Sister: Jeanette Rogers, Cherry Log.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 2, 2011 at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home in Ellijay, GA with Rev. Charles Campbell officiating. Interment will be in the Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Rites by the North GA Honor Guard. Visitation will be held Tuesday March 1st from 6pm until 8pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
